Give

St Paul wrote, "Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”  (2 Corinthians 9:7)

Impact

Most faith communities are supported by individual donations, and not a wider organization. At Grace, we give our gifts to the church, and those in need, because we are grateful for everything God has given us.

Financial donations to Grace support:

  • Services, twice weekly

  • A full time priest

  • Pastoral care

  • A part time administrator and office expenses

  • Faith formation groups

  • Contributions meeting local and international needs

  • Regular support of the broader Episcopal church

  • Care for our modern office and community building

  • Care for our historic building

  • Care for our grounds and gardens

  • A capable music director and instrument care expenses

  • Operations expenses, such as insurance, electricity, etc.

Caretaking

We take care of our donations by:

  • Planning and approving a yearly budget

  • Assigning two trusted counters to handle the offering

  • Two different people write and sign checks

  • Honoring “donor intent"

  • Reimbursing after receipts are submitted

  • Quarterly and yearly financial reports of actual spending

  • A treasurer manages, and reports to our board, called a Vestry
