Serve Our Community
Following the teaching of Jesus in Matthew 25, we believe that serving our neighbors is its own reward. We practice our faith by serving in a way that is not transactional (e.g. we don't expect anyone to believe what we believe, or participate in our church, in order to receive a gift from us).
Richard Babcock Memorial
Yarn Ministry
This ecumenical group of area knitters and crocheters meets Thursdays at 1:30pm from September to May. Prayer shawls, scarves, mittens, hats, afghans and baby/toddler items are given to organizations such as United Churches of Galena Food Pantry and Shelter Care Ministries in Rockford.

Galena Pride Picnic
Each year Grace Church sponsors the Pride Picnic and hosts a booth to welcome and celebrate our LGBTQ+ siblings.

United Churches of Galena Food Pantry
Members of Grace Church serve as a core of regular volunteers at our local food pantry, and the congregation also provides annual financial support.

Dubuque Rescue Mission
At times, Outreach Committee coordinates a group effort to prepare and serve a meal for Dubuque Rescue Mission.

National Partnerships
Partnering with national organizations helps expand our reach even further. Grace Church regularly partners with and holds collections for organizations such as:

Outreach Committee
Provides ways for parishioners to help and support others in need, benefitting people locally and globally, through the distribution of available funds and by doing hands-on projects whenever possible. Meets on the fourth Tuesday morning of each month.

Red Bag Collections
Several times a year, the Outreach Committee coordinates supply drives. Supported organizations include The Mop Shop, United Churches of Galena Food Pantry, Dubuque Rescue Mission, Riverview Center and more.

Our Immigrant Neighbors
Currently we are engaged in supporting immigrants in our area by offering “know your rights” trainings, by prayer, and by organizing a Rapid Response Team, if there is a need.
